Baseball And Its Rules

By thebaseballstore.net added on Thu, 18 Dec 2008

Baseball as a game does not have it's rule writing in black and blue. I have also never seen any book whatsoever that is said to be the official book of the game of baseball. Haven said this though, does not in any way mean that the game of baseball is without its own set rules and regulation.

As it is applicable to every game, to have given rule that each and every player must adhere to. The game of baseball would not have been considered an official game if it does not that its rules that govern it play. Growing up at a little boy, we would invent rules after rules during each and every game play as sometime these rules will only lead to fight and quarrels during and after games. We could sometimes make up rules like how many times a foul hit can be considered a strike and of course this wasn't with its own round of debate amongst the playing chaps as some of us would deliberately make foul hits of the ball. And like you know everyone, including the older players that come around to join us during games would want to stay at the bat. So in order to stay longer at the bat we would make foul hits.

One other funny stuff about some of the rules were in the very old stuff about getting a player (runner) during games out by runner throwing and hitting him with the ball between bases. Looking back now, I try to imagine from where we actually learned and got that rule from. All through my growing up days as a young boy, I can't remember anyone teaching or explaining to us that the way you get a runner out is by hitting him with the ball during a throw.

With the most recent practice, baseball game is becoming grandly familiar with updates rules and restrictions. One of such rules I and going to share with you here is one that bothers on a runner at a base. This rule means, having two on filed players, playing in the front yard and having a runner on the base of the pitch. It is also expected that a defender or one of the on field players would have to toss the ball in the air and of course his throw would have to be higher and higher.

Also at some point you will notice the runner take off like a 100 meter sprinter down the base of the field. And all will also observe that the where the odds are in favor of the defender, he would get really excited and miss handle his catch as the runner would try to outrun the throw of the defender.
