Baseball Nutrition

Baseball is a game of mental and physical power, strength and speed. Throw and hitting of ball exclusively depends on the strengths of both sides batting and fielding. Now, the question is, where from strength comes?

The well-planned and managed nutrition helps to meet the desired goals. Nutrition helps to achieve required strength, power and speed that are the basic elements in baseball. Basic knowledge of nutrition is essential, and without adequate knowledge you may not succeeded to get appropriate results.

Nutrition is what we take in and all types of foods to gain energy and to build health, power & strength. There are following kinds of nutrients.

• Macronutrients
• Micronutrients
• Water

Macronutrients will include Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats, whereas the micronutrients will include Vitamins and Minerals. For better performance, you should list nutrition at the top. Proper and balanced diet helps to gain energy. In physical activities, energy is a major performer.

It is a normal practice that people spend more on food supplements and they do not pay attention on proper nutrition. This result with bad effect on efficiency and finally people fail to succeed their desired objectives.

The energy can be measured in terms of calories. A calorie is a unit of measurement that is beneficial to maintain & plan proper diet on daily and body requirement basis. Every man needs calories to perform physical activities effectively and efficiently for mental satisfaction and physical growth. All this is gained from what a man eats!

Proteins
Proteins are the major building blocks of our body. For examples muscles, skin and other body organs get energized when good amount of protein is taken. The main sources of proteins are meat, milk, eggs, legumes and nuts. Amino acids make protein more effectively. Mostly, composition of protein is based on 20 types of amino acids. 9 are essential and remaining 11 considered as nonessential.

Your diet must be comprised on 9 essential amino acids and others are optional. They perform major role in building blocks of your body, production of some kinds of hormones like adrenaline, glucose formation, energy generation and gat storage.

Carbohydrates
The sources of carbohydrates are beans, fruits, vegetables and grains. Carbohydrates are helpful for good health and weight gain. Carbohydrates are an active source of energy and they can be easily converted into glucose that is the body requirement as compared to protein and fats.

There are two major classes of carbohydrates.

• Complex Carbohydrates
• Simple Carbohydrates

If a player is really passionate about his victorious game, then they must take all these baseball nutrients in order to gain incredible energy.
