Many people consider that betting on baseball is much easier than in football. Although both these games are totally different but when it comes to betting, baseball has a little upper hand. The reason behind this is that the baseball has a long seven months season and it’s really one of the exciting games as the game is decided by a run or two differences between two teams.

The most popular routine to bet on baseball game is money line. The money line decides the amount of money placed and amount of money won when betting on either the favorite or the loser and it has nothing to do with how much a team wins. If you are new to such type of betting it may be little confusing by looking at the positive and negative numbers. Talking clearly the team with negative money line is considered to be winner and the team with a positive negative line is considered to be losers.

For example: Team A - 140 Team B +120

Here if you want to bet on team A which is considered to be a winning team you will be betting $140 and collect $240 if you win. On other side if you want to play on Team B which is considered to be a losing team you will be betting $100 and win $220.

Basically in baseball the money line is based on the starting pitcher. If the game starts with a different pitcher than expected you can adjust the money line. Hence the betting in baseball is very flexible and can be adjusted according to your convenience or game conditions. You can even bet for pitcher of one side and even neglect the pitcher of other side and your bet will be active as long as the expected pitcher starts the game.

Another less popular but profitable betting option is the run line bet. In this bet it has nothing to do with the total runs scored in the game. This type of bet is really interesting because if you bet on winning team you lose money and if you place bet on losing team you can earn few handsome dollars. It's not a joke, but here you as a gambler must have deep study on each team, you must keep records of many starting pitchers, key relief pitchers, up to date on weather reports, etc.

Finally I can only add that the game of baseball has many upsets and there is no such winning or losing team. Any team can win in the end, so as a gambler just hear to your own instincts and bet on team by using money line. But if you know the game very well and very confident of the situation you can bet on losing side by using either of the above two methods. After all gambling is luck and if you have a good day you can really win.
